After all this time, your blog is still in my list. I looked hard at the 1 series last year when I was buying a car. It’s a great car and might be what I buy next. I really liked the size and performance. The 1 series is the new enthusiasts Bimmer.
I ended up with a VW GTI. The GTI is pretty decent but has some flaws. I only have a 12 min commute so it was hard to justify the price of the BMW.
Hi Alan! Long time! Hope all is well. GTI is the other obvious choice, great car. Golf R might be a middle ground between the two.
The Golf R is a GTI with AWD. It is a little slower than the GTI and is still an economy car at the core.
I just saw an announcement for an upcoming Audi A3. This could be my next car. http://www.acquiremag.com/cars/sedans/2015-audi-a3-sedan.php. Although I do like a hatchback.
